Browlift Cost & Procedure Information
Most facial expression involves the forehead; it is constantly moving—wrinkling, stretching, expanding and contracting. This can leave deep forehead wrinkles, as well as horizontal and vertical frown lines and sagging, drooping eyebrows.
In a browlift, the muscles and tissues that cause the furrowing or drooping are removed or altered to smooth the forehead, raise the eyebrows and minimize frown lines.
The Browlift Procedure
Dr. Lincenberg usually performs this procedure endoscopically, which means there are minimal incisions compared to the conventional surgical method. Incisions are made behind the hairline. Instead of making a long incision as is done in a conventional browlift, the endoscopic procedure requires just three small incisions, each less than one inch long. An endoscope, which is a pencil-like camera connected to a television monitor, allows Dr. Lincenberg to have a clear view of the muscles and tissues beneath the skin. Using another instrument inserted through a different incision, the forehead skin is lifted and the muscles and underlying tissues are altered to produce a smoother appearance. The eyebrows are lifted and secured into their higher position by sutures beneath the skin's surface.
